I used the Easy Circular cast on from the book, Knitting From the Center Out.
The beginning and end were a little fiddly, but that is to be expected.
My daughter complains that handknit hats are never warm enough so I hope this one especially with a folded brim which quadruples the fabric will be.
The unblocked size is 21.5in long and 17in around.
