I made 10 basic Daisy Granny Squares for the bag then added a couple of tube handles. The YouTube video I based my handles on is here:

WARNING: black yarn is SO HARD to work with when trying to make these tube handles so be aware.

Crochet Tube Handles for Bags

Basic pattern - make 2:
Chain 7
R1 SC in 2nd chain from hook across (6 sts)
R2 – R4: ch 1, turn, SC across (6 sts)
R5: Slip stitch to 1st stitch in row to make a loop (place marker for 1st stitch) SC around (6 sts). Do not join, just keep crocheting around in a spiral
R6 – R36: SC around (total of about 30 rows for handle, tube should be about 9-10” long)
For the next 4 rows, crochet flat:
R37 – R40: ch 1, turn, crochet across 6 sts. Repeat from ch 1, turn, etc for a total of 4 rows. Fasten Off.
