Used US#8 40” Addi Turbo needles and Mandala Unicorn acrylic worsted weight - 2 balls.

It took the whole 2 balls.

It ended up being about 40” x 40” when I cast on 176 stitches. I knitted it until it was square.

It came out larger than I thought it would, but I think I knit loosely. Since it was on #8 needles using worsted weight (#4) yarn.

I am happy with this size. It should work for her even as a toddler.
