Very beautiful and airy, I know this one will have lots of wear.
Test knit for knittinkitten22. Co and worked 3 rounds of set up. Did the stitch markers as well - they’re very simple and light so the knitting didn’t become too heavy.
11.06 - I’ve finished the 6th round of first lace sequence.
12.06 - When I was just about starting round 8 noticed a mistake on round 5 in the first lace chart. Tried to fix it but it didn’t work out. Frogged until round 3 (undo lace in the round is difficult). Spend the entire evening making up for lost time, ended on rnd 10.
Note to self: count sts before proceed and add safety lines now and then…
13.06 - Ended rnd 17.
16.06 - Started 2nd lace sequence.
20.06 - Finished 20 rnd of lace sequence too. The scarf could be done if I didn’t slip sts and frog back to rnd 12 (was on rnd 18 last night). Sigh!
Ended scarf, tomorrow I“ll BO and weave in ends.
21.06 - Went for an elastic BO worked knit wise (to see how it works) Tried first a simple BO knit wise and then purl wise but didn’t like it - too tight even though I used 5 mm needles. I’m an aggressive blocker, this should work best for me.
Scarf size pre-blocked - 19 wide by 55 cm long (folded). Knit is now taking a bath.
Scarf size on blocking mat - 23 cm wide by 90 cm long.
One note about blocking - unless you’re experienced with blocking and a tight knitter I’d suggest to work a simple bind off. I did an elastic BO and ended a bit loose - no problem because I correct it with lots of pins, but someone less experienced could get in trouble.
22.06 - It’s a sunny day but too windy. Nevertheless, I took lots of pictures in different scenarios.
