I didn’t know if I was going to like this yarn or not, because the twist is better suited to knitting. But…. wow I am diggin’ the colors! I am alternating repeats between the two colorways and I’m having a blast with it. In between redesigning my two undergraduate class syllabi, and doing my own course work, I’m gettin’ ma crojo on!!!

I started with Coachella (colorway 7) until the foundation was set up. Then I began the repeats with Weather (colorway 1). Once I reached the shells sections, I began to alternate colors in the rows with post stitches (fpdc/bpdc). This allowed me to use alternating colors in each “filet” section between shell sections. Unfortunately, I ran out of Coachella as I moved into the 3rd repeats of shells. Good news that I was able to finish a complete row 24 first! I did row 25 with Weather, and am now waiting for two more balls of yarn to arrive in the post. I will likely do one, possible two more full repeats before the border. Then I will decide on the tassels.

This yarn is lovely. It can be a handful as it is two loose plies with a twist and has thick and thin spots, but it is one of the nicer color changing wools with which I’ve worked. The contrast between these two is so beautiful. I am definitely keeping this one for myself.

Now that I have “cleaned” house, and am repairing my heart, I am whipping out the WIPs! Today is for the border. I have stopped at 6 reps, and will continue with the border.

Finally!!! Finished with six repeats. All the ends are woven in, and I will search for beads for tassels tomorrow. I LOVE this project.
