3/12: The bind-off took FOR.E.VER. I won’t have final yardage until I get back home and can weigh my yarn but I know I’ve used at least 1.75 skeins.

3/11: Worked the two rows needed to finish the medium waves. Completed 3 repeats of tiny waves + 2 from next repeat. 16 rows completed. 108 out of 120 rows complete.

3/10: ugh. I really wanted to finish the medium waves today. Instead, I decided to put my knitting down 2 rows short of finishing them. 18 rows completed. 92 out of 120 rows complete.

3/9: 2.5 repeats of medium waves completed. 18 rows knit. 74 out of 120 rows complete.

3/8: Large Breakers are finished. Only knit 12 rows today. Was pretty busy. 56 out of 120 complete.

3/7: 20 rows today. 44 out of 120 complete.

3/6: Garter stitch cast-on and the first breaker complete. 22 rows out of 120 complete.

To finish the shawl and block I’ll need to knit 14 rows per day. This will have me binding off on Wednesday. Giving me (hopefully) plenty of time to block and photograph Thursday morning before submitting on my dashboard at 11 on Thursday.

Cast-on notes: Crochet cast-on for the win! Super fast compared to long-tail. I started off with a size 6. The fabric was too loose, same with a size 5. I’m using a size 4 but I think I could even go down to a size 3 and be even happier with the drape of the fabric.

I truly dislike knitting with silk. I stay tense while knitting with it because the stitches are slippery and they come off the needles way too easy.
