Notes

The short rows at the neckline nearly defeated me, but boy am I glad I pushed through them and got this knit.

Started with size 38.5” at the neckline and shoulders, increasing to size 41” (plus a few extra stitches) by the arm divide. Then started doing back decreases (then increases at the waist to hip) at the same rate as the increase/decrease rows in two darts about 1/3 on each side of the back.

The darts were a good idea to give it a bit of shaping in the back. The stitches I added at the underarm wasn’t though, since it added way too much fabric in that entire area. You can definitely see it in the last two modeled shots.

Doesn’t matter because this sweater is amazing and so beautiful. It’s very simple, but the details make it - like the garter stitch back and sides moving into the front, and the way all of the ribbing is bound off. Very lovely, and will be a wardrobe staple for years to come.
