I was inspired by the color choices in allpurledup’s Pretty Alligator, which reminds me of sun on water, and I wanted to find a similar palette for mine. I was really set on using KPPPM, but no yarn stores near me carry it, and around April I decided that I couldn’t wait until my next trip to New York.

So, I ordered ten different colorways of KPPPM online, under the theory that the five colors I didn’t use would make some really pretty pairs of socks. A little crazy, I know, but I was very stressed and in serious need of knit/retail therapy.

I shortened the wrap a bit (360 stitches cast on instead of 400), but it’s still eight feet long and one foot wide, which I love. It makes me feel very graceful and chic when I wear it.
