JMCO 16 per needle per sock and knit first row on larger needles.
Doing a plain foot with a princess sole (reverse stockinette) and doing the Jaywalker pattern just on the legs.

Just finished the heels. The FLK heels always look so sad while I’m still knitting the rest of the socks, but they fit so dang well, and they block out nicely. I just have to keep reminding myself to imagine the finished project! This pair really came along much faster than the other socks I’ve done so far.

Had 30 stitches on each needle (60 total for each sock) and the Jaywalker pattern made getting my heel through the leg very difficult even thought the foot and heel fit perfectly. The pattern does warn about the sizing and being less stretchy than other patterns. I only got about 2 inches up the legs before I decided it would be better to place a lifeline and rip back to just after the heels were completed. I think I’m going to add 4 stitches to each needle (adding 8 stitches total to each sock) to keep the pattern symmetrical. I doubt this will make the leg too big and slouchy, but we shall see in another 2 inches lol.

Still a bit tight getting the legs over the heels but didn’t want to rip back again and I think adding 8 more stitches would have been too much.

Wearing these for the second time today (had to wait for it to get cold around here), and I must say that the princess sole does make a HUGE difference by increasing the comfort level for knit socks with shoes for me. SO HAPPY!
