start magic circle.
6 rows of 18 after the increase row.
Argh. It’s too small :( I added some rows so she can wear it now, but I suspect that I’ll make another, reuse the horn and ears and remake it. Or, frog it and move the horn. Not sure, need to wait till I am done more Christmas presents. Either way, I need to make it a bit bigger as well as longer.
Had a few days at home so I frogged it until it was a toque shaped hat again (at least I made it wide enough!) and added a zillion rows to make it long enough. Mental note - it looks huge for a 4 year old, but really, her head isn’t THAT much smaller! After I refinished the rows, I adjusted the hair so it was still proportional, and lowered the bangs so that it’s longer. Might have needed to make a new horn because it doesn’t show much under her hair… but not right now, and probably not later either. :)
