Testing a sweet baby blanket pattern made up of six different six inch square patterns. I made four of each patterned squares and 16 white…a total of 36. The squares work up fast and easy. You can mix and match and chose the size you wish to make your blanket, making this a fast and easy blanket when you need a quick gift. I followed the pattern suggestion for the joining… Flat Slip-Stitch Join. This has been a favorite of mine, and Helen has a Video linked that shows just how it’s done.

When working all six squares, be sure to count. I found it easy to work into the wrong stitch… when doing a post stitch, I would accidentally work around the stitch I had worked my dc or hdc in.

The border is beautiful. The bead stitches really make it pop. Don’t stress it. They really don’t take long and so worth it.
