PART #1
May 16/ 2020
Starting a new test for Helen. This is a special pattern as it is the much anticipated fall CAL
Just a note for round 6. Be careful of the sequence. The two dc will fall on each side of the fpsc on round 5. Be sure to count … 72 dc.
Round 7 … keep an eye on the sequence. It is a bit different from what you might think.
Round 26 looks really intimidating at first. It did take me a couple of stats but it really went well after a bit of practice. When working the fpdtr3tog be sure to keep an eye on where the second color is. I got the yarn caught up a couple of times and had a strand stretched across where it didn’t go. Yes it is in the back but you want it to look as good as you can. This round can be a bit slow but take you time and it will work great. My fpdtr3tog look a bit large so you may want to go down a hook size for this part if this happens to you.

Part #2 May 21/2020
This part went well without much to remark about. I do not have a real fondness for popcorn stitches. Just saying. :)

Part # 4 5/27/20
Not a hard section but it is starting to get some size so it does take a bit of time to go around…and there are popcorn stitches !
Round 53-57 Cream Round 58 Hot Grape Round 59 Violet Round 60-61 Wisteria Round 62-63 Violet Round 64 Hot Grape
Part # 4 took me around 13 hours spread out over four days
Part # 5 6/3/2020**
Life got in the way and it took me a couple of days to get started.
Be sure to lay out your blanket and get the proper stitch as indicated in the pattern.
Round 65… Count and then… Recount! Stitch markers helped me a lot here!
Round 66 has us changing shape. Still do lots of counting! I didn’t use markers every 20 but I did double-check to be sure I had 65 sc each time.
Round 65-66 Cream Round 67 Wisteria Round 68-69 Cream Round 70-71 Ice Coffee Round 72 Wisteria Round 73-75 Violet Round 76 Hot Grape Round 77-78 Violet
Part# 6
I will always remember part 6 for one thing… popcorn stitches! Lots of popcorn stitches. I knew they were coming! Really though they went well. They seemed to flow. Shocked me! The rest of the section went well with nothing to give a heads up about. Once again … Stitch markers are a huge help. Be sure to count!
Round 79 Ice Coffee Round 80 Cream Round 81-82 Ice Coffee
Round 83 Cream Round 84 Hot Grape Round 85 Cream Round 86-87 Ice Coffee Round 88 Cream Round 89 Hot Grape Round 90 Cream
Part# 7
At first glance I thought this was a pretty easy looking section. While not hard it was really time-consuming for me. The blanket is really getting large as well. Love the use of bead stitches here. Be sure to use your stitch markers and keep close count.
