9/23: Swatched. Gauge was nearly spot on! 4.5 sts/in and 7.1 rows/in in pattern. Bust currently measures 43.5”, so casting on 46” size for ease in the front, 42.5” size for fit in the back.

11/1: did tubular cast on for back size 42.5 with size 4 needles. FORGOT to switch to size 5 needles after cast on, knit all ribbing in 4. Tubular cast on was surprisingly simple, don’t know why I put it off for so long.

Don’t love the tubular cast on or bind off, it created a hard edge instead of nice and stretchy. Next time will try to make the slipped stitch step extra loose and not kitchener too tightly to give extra stretch. I did all ribbing with US 6 and 4 (did not do 5) but next time would use 6’s and 5’s instead (no 4’s) so the edgings don’t pull in quite so much.

Nice simple pattern with great texture and style.
