Notes

Back in action, Feb 2019.

Thoughts: this is a strangely shaped shawl, tbh. It’s asymmetrical and narrow, and apparently asymmetrical in the opposite way from how I usually wrap shawls around my neck. Normally I put the left edge over my left shoulder shoulder, then take the right edge counter-clockwise around my neck, and adjust the point and both ends in front. When I do this for this shawl, the right edge is the long plain skinny one, so that overlaps the point and the ‘interesting’ bits that are primarily on the left edge of the shawl (left and right being if it were on your back). I tried wrapping it the opposite way for the picture (which felt so wrong! ha) and it looks ok, but the ends are definitely long and dangly and uneven if you want the houndstooth or pretty picot edge near the front.

It was fun to knit and I love the yarn and the houndstooth pattern, but would probably avoid this shape in future.

I ran out of the dark blue and substituted another dark blue yarn for the bindoff.
