Update 7.13.12: I’m really excited about this project! It’s been very pleasant to work on, but a bit boring at times since this portion is all single crochet. I’ve finished the lower half and am ready to move on to the upper half. Yeah!

6.6.12: After working on gauge swatches I realized I needed to go down to a size C crochet hook to get as close to the 4 x 4 swatch as possible. My gauge was correct when it came to width, but a bit off when it came to height. I decided to plug along anyway and see what happens. Stay tuned!
