This is a simple repeat pattern that I’ve designed (and tested) especially for the Ravellenic Games 2014.
Skill : Easy / advanced beginner ; will take max 6 hrs to complete.
All you should know ch, sc and sl-st. Additionally, you should know how to ‘whip st’ ends, and /or sc crochet together to join the mug hug.
The pattern has been tested and written using US terminology.

This project has been tested using :
a) 4-ply acrylic fingering yarn, Oswal mills , abt 10 g / 42 yds ; 4 mm crochet hook ;
b) Bernat Handicrafter Cotton , 1 oz total or 60 yards ; H / 5.00 ; Gauge ;4 rows x 2 sets of esc’s = 1” ;
Comments : Clear instructions and photo tutorial ; took about 2 hrs ; Mug is about 3.5” high - so using the heavier yarn, started with ch 12 ;

c) Regia Flusi Das Socken Monster (Blue) & 4ply from stash (green), 14g ÷ 2 = 7g each ; 4 mm crochet hook ;
