Notes

The math doesn’t work out with the pattern gauge. Using that gauge and that number of rows, it will end up being about 11.5 inches, and yet, the pattern says it will end up being about 9.75 inches.

Even with the math issues, I love this pattern, and I would easily knit these again. Very fast and lovely result at the end. One of the recipients about had a melt down when he’d though he’d lost them. He says he wears them every time he goes out. :)

10/7/09 - I didn’t realize until halfway through the first one that the yarn didn’t match the gauge for rows. So after finishing the third cable, I knit until it measured 9” instead of the 24 rows before the next section. I calculated that the piece would be 9” in length based on the gauge in the pattern. I knit 15 rows after the thumb hole. I will probably adjust the whole piece to my gauge when I knit the second set. The cables are a little spread out for my taste in this first set.

10/6/09 - I’m a little confused by this pattern. The cable for some reason is confusing me in this pattern. I hope I put it in the right place!
