Very inspired by this version of the Man Cowl.
Might make mods along these lines.

12-22-09 Added a couple of extra rows of garter at the end. Wish I would have done that at the beginning. Lays flatter. I knit until piece was 9” (versus 11” or whatever it was) before doing the last part of the pattern (the triangles then garter). FInished piece is 11” long and 19” in circumferance. It’s actually a little snug on my neck. Hopefully not too snug for my dad. Also… the yarn is itchier than I expected. I think I might block before I put up finished pictures.

12-1-09 Cast on 20 fewer stitches. Going well. I kind of think the two stitch patterns used could make nice patterns on cowls of their own.
