Started this project at Felicity Ford’s Knitsonik class at EYF 2016. It’s a colourwork study based on my favourite map from work; Thomas Sulman’s 1864 Bird’s Eye View of Glasgow. I hope one day to have a jumper that I can wear to work based on my map.

This is giving me an opportunity to use the colours from my inherited stash of granny’s Jamieson’s & Smith wools. For this reason I’ll not be able to steek the colourwork study, and will probably have to take photographic and graph chart notes before unravelling it. Most of my granny’s colours are long discontinued J&S colours and aren’t replaceable.

I may have to add a Jamieson’s of Shetland green for the grass, as I can’t find exactly the right colour in J&S’s palette.

It might be worth trying this as a tam first…?
