Unfortunately, the colours didn’t photograph well. In real life the doily has a beautiful, rich, romantic Victorian look. The flowers are made from well saturated, variegated blues and the petals underneath the flowers are rich, velvety, variegated purples. Problem with the variegated purples (Clea) and dk green Cebelia threads: they are NOT colour fast. Not one tiny bit. Consequently, I have a few spots where the colour ran into the cream area. A lot of fun and joy to crochet. Highly recommended pattern. Well written.
