Frogged and restarted.
Cast on 1/20/40/20/1 on provisional caston. I did a bunch of extra provisional stitches and am knitting into them every time I increase on the front. That way the front of the neck will be more even when I pick up the stitches to do the neck, but I don’t have to do a circular caston, i.e. I don’t have to figure out exactly the right number of stitches for the front ahead of time and then do short rows; I can just do a normal raglan with a little help from the provisional stitches to make it look better.
Separated at 56/76, added 2 caston stitches under the arms just in case.
Must remember to switch to the dyed sockweight wool for the neck and the hem and sleeve edges.
If I do this combo yarn again, do it on 4s. It won’t be opaque but this is too much like netting. I was paranoid about having enough yarn so I guess I’ll find out how much of the wool I use.
Sleeves, picked up an extra 6 on each side, on size 4s, two rows then switched to ribbing, down to 56 st. 10 rows or so of ribbing.
Probably want to do more ribbing at the hem.
I dyed tencel orange in ~100 yard sections to double with the orange Alpaca, plus a little fingering weight wool off a cone just in case I needed extra that could go alone.
