Notes

Cast on raglan 20/40/20/

First skein of regia lace gave me enough for the body with no additional sleeves and no neck. Conceivably should make a shortsleeved sweater from one skein (with tencel) and do doubled tencel at the neck and sleeve and bottom, or else some other cotton or other dyed contrast trim.

Doing lace on each sleeve and in the back with basically this design of a repeated triangle in the middle and verticle YOs on each side.

yo k k k k3tog k k k yo on each side

and standard triangle of YOs in the middle, 9 wide on sleeve and wider in the back with a central triangle on the one in the back.

Will probably do same in the front, with neck band done in triangle lace and same across hem.

Will do long close-fitting sleeves.

Want to make this fairly close-fitting, but not tight since the lace and tencel won’t take that, maybe some ribbing or more lace down the sides.

Have gotten to underbust. Will do all further shaping by making the triangles smaller. 2 smaller on each side for the next one, another one of the same size, possibly then a really small one depending on where the waist falls, then increase again. Will decrease in the lace pattern on the side too if necessary for fit.

Will finish the bottom with moss eyelet.

March 3rd, finished body and neck. Did neck in 32 rows, eyelet every 4th row, then a few rows of stockinette, then 1 row of eyelet and some moss. Didn’t reduce very much at all, did neck in size 4s, and it worked out really nicely. I can put a ribbon through the outer row of eyelets if I feel so inclined.

April 20th restarted it, doing the sleeves. Can’t find the last skein of brown tencel so am using some other laceweight brown I had around.

Sleeves: start reducing at the 6th triangle, reduce a couple in the triangle, then reduce slowly in the arm.

stitches at end of 5th triangle: 32 stockinette, then vertical lace, then padding of 2, then triangle 15 across.

  • During 6th triangle reduce to 26 stockinette and 13 across triangle.
  • 7th: 22 stockinette 9
  • 8th: 18 stockinette, 9 triangle
  • 9th: 16 stockinette, 9 triangle
  • 10th, 18 stockinette, 13 triangle

Cuff: 14 stitches in the stockinette section, 11 each in the vertical lace, 2 padding, and 13 in the main lace.
