Notes

I love, love, love this sweater. Of all the sweaters I have made to date, I think this one has turned out the best. It’s like a big, warm, wooly hug.

I measured between sizes, and the pattern does recommend that you go down (since there is positive ease built in) but because my hips are so much wider than my bust, I opted to go larger so that it wouldn’t emphasize my hips. As a result the sleeves are a bit roomy - just enough so that I can easily wear a long sleeved shirt underneath.

I chose to knit this in the round because I am lazy when it comes to seaming. I think that the shape and design of this cardigan make seaming less important than some other styles of sweaters I have knit.

The pattern is well written and easy to follow. The tips in Home & Away are great - I am happy I made the purchase. I also listened to the first couple episodes of knit.fm - in which I learned so, so much about gauge. I definitely recommend listening to it. I credit it and the tips in this book for this sweater turning out better than I could have hoped for!
