Notes

Test knit for Andrea Rangel.

May 16
Swatched in the round using Andrea’s awesome tube swatch tutorial (found here). Wet blocked swatch. Got gauge with recommended 5mm needle. Fabric is has some drape, which I like for cowls.

May 17
Cast on. Pattern is easy to follow and enjoyable to knit. It works up quickly with the large needle size. The two round repeats are easy to keep track of and baby interruptions haven’t caused any mistakes.

May 23
Cast off and seamed. Wet block.

Notes

Knit without any modifications. Dimensions came out slightly larger than anticipated - mostly in circumference and this is my own fault for not measuring before casting off.

Left a long tail and seamed ends together using mattress stitch. Wet blocked cowl, rotating a few times during drying to avoid creases.

Over all I really enjoyed this pattern. The knitting is easy but the chevron pattern really elevates the look of the knit. The drape of the fabric is beautiful and although a little bigger in circumference than anticipated I really enjoy the look of the cowl.

The yarn is gorgeous; as always. I got these two skeins in a mystery trio a couple of years back. They look beautiful together.
