I’m working on the border now. For the body of the shawl I used 4 skeins of yarn. Starting the fifth ball, I did 2 more rows of the pattern (one repeat) and then began the border section.

For the border, I did 3 rows of double crochet, chain 1, and then began the border from Crescent Moon Shawl (b). I did a row of single crochet around the two long sides, and then single crochet with picots every 4 stitches on the short/neck edge.

Now I’m working on the chain/shell portion of the border. I started the sixth ball of yarn on the first row of chains, so I hope I have enough yarn!

I finished crocheting yesterday and started weaving in the ends today. I had to buy another ball of yarn - I guess I should have started the border with ball #5 instead of doing those extra two rows. Oh well, it’s the size I want and the yarn is not expensive.

I’m finally getting around to blocking this. I started a new - as in an additional - job and have had very little time. But hopefully this will be dry by Monday so that I can wear it to said new job!
