January’s K/CAL crochet block is half traditional granny and half solid granny.
June 9, 2020 This has been my go-to project to work on when I don’t have another WIP. About 90 blocks are finished, I think I’ll need 108.
June 29, 2020 I want it bigger, I’ll need 180 squares.
May 20, 2021 I got this out today and Sophia helped me lay out the squares to try various arrangements.
January 10, 2022 I got this out again, this time I will finish! I eliminated some colors, added others and need to make 68 more.
January 24, 2022 need 22 more!
January 30, 2022 squares are finished. I’m going to take a little break from blanketing, then establish the layout and start assembling
October, 2022 Too many distractions over the summer, this is going to hibernate for a while so I can focus on gifts.
March, 2023 started assembling. I’m not laying them out first. Have eliminated any multi-colored blocks and the more neutral ones, and am picking the next color as I go, randomly-but-not-too-random, but not stripey. Using Lucy’s chain stitch crochet joining method.
May, 2023 joined, bordered, today I will wash and block and sew in the ends from the borders, and photograph.
