Lovelovelove the feel of this yarn, like a cashmere-silk blend. The colors are great too. Perfect drape.

Started with a bobble: cast on 5 sts, cast off 3, continued with pattern, casting on 6 instead of 5, for a shallower, longer scarf. It ends up closer to the designer’s measurements than any of the Melissas done according to the pattern.

Using knit cast on, as I don’t care for e cast on, not hundreds of them anyway!
The last st before increases is a little loose, so coming back, I bind off 3, and knit 2, knit the 3rd st (the last one before cast ons) in the back loop.

7/3 - Second skein doesn’t match, after using it for 3”! Had to frog that part. Project in time out. :( One of the dye lots is 2816.

7/20 - bought another skein, and it matches. Had to use a few yards from the 3rd (unmatched dye lot) skein to finish binding off.

Bind off edge requires a yarn length 15x the length of the scarf.

12/6 - Reopening this project, as I started another Melissa, using the same yarn in blue. For a no-brainer project to work on in groups.
Same mods.

1/23/14 - Third one is out of pink mystery cone yarn, like fingering weight Dazzleaire.
Stopped at 72” X 10”. A little too narrow for my taste, but very nice.
Conclusion: best if done with at least a DK.
