I did find I needed to bump up to a US 6 and got a 21-inch circumference in the upper part. For me, still not much larger than a hat, so it sits tighter and settles under my chin. With your gauge swatch, keeping in mind you’re stranding colors and it will tighten up.

The lower section is so nice, with the wedges of pattern set in to allow it to widen at the bottom edge. The fronds are really cute.

I’m sensitive to mohair and floating fibers, are you? I would avoid the Isager Silk Mohair, as it has more of a loose construction and more fibers float around and will be a bother for you wearing it. I prefer the Cabrito, as it doesn’t do this.

I have used a sweater shaver on this one on the edges and the inside to reduce the contact with the nose when taking on and off, and wearing.

Hopefully my notes help someone make choices that result in a happy outcome for this really cool cowl! I have made 2 now, so at least this one with the Isager will be gifted & I know they will be well received.
