The cast on row is nice and stretchy. But really, I should have switched right away to smaller needles after that… Hmm. Knit and learn. It looks ripply at the edge, but it’ll be on my head, sooo…. I say it’s fine.

I used the #4’s to meet gauge on the main part after the ribbing, and I’m glad I did, though it’s a bit loose in areas where the Chroma thinned out. It’s not a uniform thickness.

I didn’t knit out to 7” height before decreases, just 6” (and now wish I had only knit to 5.75”). Many had frogged back so I slipped it on my noggin and I’m sure this will be fine. (Still so tall that I can pull down over my entire ears on both sides, plus over my entire eyes, and goes wayyy down my neck.)

Switched to 2.25 metal sock dpns (annoying) for the decrease rows and to finish. Next time I’ll use a different, slightly thicker yarn. (Though I like the Palette - it’s about right - it’s just not soft enough for my forehead.)
