I enjoyed working the cap part. The transition from cap to the scarf is very tricky for me. I am not used to working with three needles. Slowly, slowly, I think it is working.

I wasn’t sure how the scarf attached to the cap would look--but it is coming out well and it looks like it will be a very handy cold weather accessory.

I finished “Hat/Scarf” and I am very happy with the results. The pattern was mostly simple seed stitch. I adjusted the head band size to allow for my big head and it fits nicely. I got a bit off count on shaping the top of the cap to the scarf, but it didn’t matter to the outcome. I will try this pattern again in another color and I think I will have an easier time at the shaping at the top of the cap. I think this will be very useful in New England this winter!

I’ve added pictures to try to show that while the “tail” is about three feet long, it still lays nicely around the neck to create a nice “cocoon” for the neck.
