Notes

Overall, this has been a real joy to knit. Glad to see something else out there besides sweaters, hats, shawls. We need more of these items!

Waistband: I used a 1 1/2” instead of the 1”. I think I should have used the recommended 1”. With the elastic, and knitted band, it is kinda of thick. Very minor detail.

Chart and notes were great. Good use of various patterns that made it interesting, with room to add as needed.I added at least 4”. Even with gauge, which I was right on with suggested needle size, it would have been way too short. Increases were perfect for a nice A-line shape.

Sizing was the hardest part. I started with the Med, since the measurements were right on for me. I made the waistband and it was way too tight. I put in lifelines as I went to check the fit which was crucial. I changed to a Large. It’s roomy in the waist/hips but fits me through the thighs which was my worry.

Would make this again in a heartbeat. Different colorway and patterns. Thanks Maude!
