Notes

I had knit this pattern three times before. When I made it for two little girl dogs, I didn’t cable the six sitches in the middle, but used sport yarn and embroidered lazy daisy stitches and vines all down the back. I also made the turtle neck twice as long as the pattern suggested so it would turn back nice and full. Really makes it better looking. It used almost the full skein of yarn.

Two times I used a circular needle for the turtle neck and the other two times I just knit it straight and sewed the seam.

There is a pattern for a little hat also, and the pattern has a two or three inch sleeve, but I have not done that on the four I have knit. Good thing I had decided previously I wouldn’t do sleeves, because I could have only done three or four rows on each leg.

Walter is sitting in the dog chair in front of the window. It is time to get the dog chair recovered, but how do you tell him it will be gone for two weeks and I don’t have another chair to put there. It is a 50s era chair and dogs like it because the back is rounded and they can curl up so nice and sleep right by the window ready to jump up and bark at the slightest noise.
