June is my friend’s mom, and she’s welcomed me into her home the last six Thanksgivings. This year, she came to my house to take care of me following some surgery I had in March, and I never feel like I’ve said ‘thank you’ quite adequately. This cowl may not be adequate either, but I hope she’ll appreciate the effort and understand how grateful I am for her opening her home and heart to me so often.

11/21 - Grew just a tad when blocked. June put it on when I gave it to her, and it is a bit snug, so I’d suggest adding one or two 12-st pattern repeats when casting on. Otherwise, a great pattern!

11/20 - Knit the 7th-9th repeats and bound off. A little on the snug side, so I hope it’ll grow a tiny bit when it’s blocked. It might have been better to add an extra 12-st repeat to the body of the cowl, though I don’t think this skein would have been quite big enough. I’ll definitely add another pattern repeat or two (so 120 or 132 sts total) for the next one I make, which will be for my future sister-in-law.

11/19 - Knit the 6th repeat.

11/18 - Knit the 4th & 5th repeats.

11/17 - Knit the 2nd & 3rd repeats.

11/16 - Cast on 108 sts and knit the first repeat.
