I decided to crochet this using double strands of yarn. I wanted to give the mini purse some weight and structure. The bag is very firm and quite substantial. I’m considering lining it though. I did make the handles just a bit longer since this is for a pre-teen. I also made a cute little closure for it too and used a big black button.

The flower is not from a specific pattern and just something I made up, though I am now wishing that I had made a rose instead. Oh well, next time.

I think next time I will use two strands of I Love This Cotton rather than the Peaches & Creme. I was unable to make 8 granny cluster rounds and still have enough yarn for the handles and such. As it is I was left with just a couple of yards of yarn, which I used to make the closure with. I would have liked to have made this just a touch larger and the I LOVE this Cotton has more yardage.
