I really do love this potholder. It works up quick and is so very pretty. To ease the star motif onto the back after I stitched it to the top I did stitch it to the back. I didn’t like having it just free float. I also made a double crochet back rather than making the center. I simply used the opposite color to make the center of the motif show up a bit more. I used a smaller needle to achieve a smaller potholder, but it didn’t seem to make any difference at all so I ended up using a 3.5 and a 3.75 needle. All the potholders ended up being 10” across.

With this project I also made a half double crochet dishcloth in coordinating colors which is shown in the last picture.
