Now that I’m into the pattern, I don’t have to concentrate quite so hard. Just make sure to keep track of your rows really well.

It seems as if the written (vs. charted) are in the wrong order but they aren’t. Kind of makes your head spin all the way around but it’s correct.

Loving how it’s turning out so far. I don’t think I’ll do a full-submersion block because I’m worried it would grow into a coat. I haven’t even split for the sleeves yet so I’m putting the block before the completion. I’m just typing out loud. Will know more later.

The third picture is where I picked up too many stitches under the arm (on purpose originally) and ended up folding them pleat-wise so I wouldn’t have so much hanging low under my arm. It’s a futz I wouldn’t recommend. Should have stuck with the pattern.

Only did 2-ish inches for the sleeve and shortened the skirt by a couple of inches, too, in anticipation of it growing under its own weight.

Love it. Might have to sew the perfect dress to go with it.
