After a couple of false starts because I was trying to knit on the influence of wine (not a dark and stormy, unfortunately), I’ve gotten the hang.

This is going to be a perfect marriage of yarn and pattern. I love it when that happens.

I’m only doing a 2” button band instead of 3” and a 2st bind off for buttons, not 3.

Because I don’t have as much on the collar (at back neck) I stitched it down so it would stay folded.

I only steam blocked the button bands. I worried that if I saturated the whole sweater I’d never be able to get it back to the right size.
