This was a straightforward and traditional Icelandic pattern, 2 row repeat.

All garter stitch with yarn overs, I made it extra challenging by using this project to learn how to knit continental. This whole shawl was created knitting continental style. Now I most definitely have it down :)

The kit I used was a collection of six hand dyed yarns by Hespa. They were all dyed with Rhubarb leaf or Madder Root and I blended them as I went. Gorgeous colors! I am so pleased with the result!
