Starting again after stuffing it up. Will read the tips in the group for this pattern

The lace pattern repeat did throw me a bit and unfortunately I misread the instructions and thought I was out a stitch on row 4 each time which I wasn’t. Once the pattern clicked in my head it flew off my needles.
If keeping track of lace section using a clicker counter the following rows make up the lace
Row 1 = row 1 and row 5
Row 2 = row 2 and row 6
Row 3 = row 3 and row 7
Row 4 = row 4 and row 8

Threading a lifeline through at the end of each 8 row section helped if I make made a mistake and needed to rip it back. I just pulled it out once I knew there were no errors in the next pattern repeat and had 2 lifelines in towards the end particularity when I was running short of yarn
