I can’t believe I finally finished these! It was some miracle! Not sure I really like the yarn much anymore… definitely has clown barf vibes. But they’ll be warm an snuggly for winter! :)
6.8: picking this up out of hibernation…did the heel flap in November (!) so I really just need to plow through this and “get her done” lol.
9.14: Cast off sock number 1! Although I finished it at the knitting group (my first ever!) and it was getting kind of dark in there at the end, so I think I might need to rip out the grafting and try it again with some light.
8.20: Heel turn, finished 1 repeat of lace pattern. I have a sneaking suspicion I’ll be running out of yarn before I finish the sock…
8.18: After bringing these out of a long hibernation, I notice one of the cats chewed on the loner cord! Argh! It totally snags the yarn! I guess no more 2 at a time for these…
I really should finish my vest first, but I couldn’t help but cast on for these. Trying two-at-a-time on 2 circs since the leg of the sock is a simple ribbing.

Finally posted a picture of the finished sock. Only took 9 years, lol. I think it’s hard to tell in the picture, but the pair has needed a few small holes on the ball of the foot repaired, and it is a bit pill-y on the heel flap. I could remove the pills, but I don’t really care that much since these are usually in my shoes. Of all my pairs of handknit socks, I think this yarn has held up the least: it definitely has needed more repairs than the others.
