This pattern is drop dead gorgeous, and I’m hurrying casting on for this one before I get tempted by something else:)
CO for small, 246 sts on needle 2.5mm.
Then changed to 3 mm and decreasing 30 sts in the stockinette section. 216 sts.
Turned out too big, frogged and CO 216, decreasing 36 after ribbing. sigh! 180 sts. At least it’s faster with fewer sts. I’ll use about 75% of the number of sts stated in the pattern all the way through.
Lots of stockinette!
Just keep knitting, just keep knitting… (Hi, I’m Dory:))
So strange, it’s actually still pretty big, but not tent-size, so I’ll just keep knitting, just keep knitting…
I’m very confused here… - when knitting my Pesto cardi, my tension was looser when knitting back and forth compared to knitting in the round, now it’s the other way around…. ????
Wow… I knitted the body really loooong - I’m always afraid things turn out too short, but this time i overdid this big time! The details at the end of the pattern takes me foreeever to finish btw - buttonhole bands, collar etc.
I wouldn’t call this pattern very plain and simple…
I’m pleased with how the collar turned out though, I did this tiny mod that’ll hopefully make it lie properly without massive blocking: After about 13-14 cm, I increased one stitch every knit column (that is, doing ribbing 4x3 instead of 3x3) seen from the right side.
Sleeve ribbing: picking up 128, then immediate decreased every 4th stitch --> 96 sts in 3x3rib.
I used about 2 skeins, and have 17 g left. (the body was at least 15 cm too long, after blocking, this piece looks like a dress rather than a vest)
