Snowfall Cast-on No. 17⁠
It snowed on Sunday, and I was feeling the need for a little sunshine. So I cast on the Guardian of Good Energy Elf by Susan Claudino-Aguilar. (see the link in our bio).⁠

The pattern is written for worsted weight yarn and that is what I’m using, but you can make a toy in any yarn, it will just be a different size. Remember to use a needle that is two sizes smaller than what the yarn usually calls for. This will give you a dense fabric that hides the stuffing.⁠

So dig through your stash and see what you find. If you don’t have stuffing at home, you can stuff it with yarn scraps.⁠

My stitches are wonky due to the inelasticity of cotton. Can’t wait to make this again in a more forgiving wool. I’m thinking of using some leftover sock yarn for a mini version.
