Clear & concise pattern with excellent invisible join & several stitch pattern options.

I chose to use the teahouse chart from Alexis Sixel’s Dark & Dramatic Mosaic Crochet book with it’s very short 8-stitch repeat.

I worked bottom up. I began with a foundation chain of 25 (3x8 + 1), then worked 2 sc blo rounds in background colour (magenta).

I then followed the teahouse chart twice, finishing with an extra round 3.

To create a firm top edge, I worked a round of magenta dc’s in all stitches except acqua dc’s. I then finished with a magenta round of slst into the blo + back loop of acqua sc’s behind dc’s to close the pockets.
