This scarf was meant as a gift for my mother, but sadly she died before I finished it. It sat on the needles untouched for a long time after that…. but I found it recently and decided to finish it.

After blocking with blocking wires it came out really beautifully! The swallow tail at the cast-on end disappeared and the whole pattern opened out, as well as growing wider by a couple of inches.

the yarn shade is actually more of a cool purple than it looks in the pictures (they were taken in artificial light that makes it look a lot more like cerise)
