An ice cream cone dress with a little Neapolitan flair!

I used a long tail cast on of 96 stitches and followed the chart on the left…an 8 stitch repeat done 12 times. I followed my usual in the round/full skirt modifications found here

When I knit this again, I will either do only one row of alternating pink stitches over the ice cream cones or move both rows down starting them three rows over the cones. The second row of pink stitches got lost when I purled to reduce the skirt for the waist.

I often find that in colorwork done with a white or cream background, the floats are not hidden as well as I’d like. So for this dress, I used a slightly heavier fingering weight yarn for the cream (Louet Gems) than I used for the colorwork (Knit Picks Stroll). I do like the results.

The bunny was knit on 2.75 needles using Sublime Extra fine Merino DK in Caramel.
