Amanda asked me if I would make a Christmas stocking for her from this pattern.

“No problem,” I said. “But could I make one for me too, so we could have matching stockings?”

“I secretly wanted that, but I didn’t want to ask for too much.”

We just get each other.

This is the bulkiest yarn I’ve ever worked with on the biggest needles, and the yarn almost didn’t arrive in time to celebrate Christmas with Amanda over New Year’s—but it does knit up fast. I’m going to add pom-poms when I have the energy at some point.

The duplicate stitching is supposed to be our initials—A and K, respectively—though it shows up much better on hers than mine!
