I knit the pattern as written excepting that I worked an extra stripe before starting the thumb gusset increases and working all of the stripes before beginning the mitten top decreases to account for my different row gauge. Despite going down several needles sizes the finished mittens were a bit large so I felted them slightly. Overall I am very pleased with the FO. There is a fair amount of yarn leftover. I think that if I am creative with the striping sequence I should have enough to knit a 2nd pair.
