10/15 - I’m making some mods to this pattern. I’m going to use the “Tree of Gondor” Chart for one end of the scarf and all of the “Ring” rounds on the other end. I’m also going to knit it in the round so it won’t be so wide and so the rounds are like “rings”. Here’s hopin’ it turns out like the vision in my mind!
10/19 - I decided to knit the Tree of Gondor using the intarsia in the round method because the long strands around the tree were showing through and I knew I couldn’t live with that. There is a slight ridge at the end of round where the wraps are picked up but I am confident that they will block out and be unnoticable. It looks much better. There are links below for great videos illustrating intarsia in the round and also the istarsia technique. For the wrap and turns, I slip the stitch before wrapping it (bringing the yarn forward or back) which is the opposite of how the video instructs. I tried it both ways and found that the stitches are smoother my way.

11/23 - Finished my “tree” … now the tedious job of all of that straight stockinette until the other end when I knit “one ring …”
12/17 - Officially halfway finished with the plain stockinette!
1/2 - Wooohooo - just finished the 3rd ring pattern … I can see the finish line!
1/4 - Blocked and drying ~ fringe tomorrow then I’m done!
