I loved the ribbing of the cuffs on these mittens. As for the pattern for the hand, I did it 2 ways. 1 mitten is in the round, and the other is done in rows--wanted to see what I liked better, in case I do another pair. I left the fingers open--connecting to make finger holes felt too awkward when I had them on.
