Totally enjoyed the meditative garter stitch, along with a little ruffly edge (who can say no to ruffles?). The size ended up being the same as the pattern, a really useful size for throwing over both shoulders -- and for fewer yards than the pattern called for.

Mods: Used less yarn than the pattern called for. I did not wrap the short rows, but I did slip every stitch on the ruffles (the first stitch on the short row as well as the end stitches on that side).

ETA … Also -- when working the ruffles I used my very most favorite knitting trick every, knitting backwards. It really made it more efficient because there was no turning every 9 stitches (or whatever they were). You can youtube it to learn how to do it if you’re interested.
